Rationale Behind the Conference
The 10th World Disability & Rehabilitation Conference 2025 (WDRC 2025) focuses on integrating mental health into disability rehabilitation, addressing critical challenges such as mental illnesses and substance abuse within disability communities. With over nine years of success, a vast network spanning 50+ countries, collaborations with 100+ universities, and a growing community of 1,000+ stakeholders, WDRC 2025 builds on a legacy of empowering and fostering inclusive dialogue among researchers, practitioners, activists, and policymakers to promote sustainable and inclusive support systems. Through expert-led workshops and collaborative sessions, WDRC 2025 aspires to drive meaningful change in disability rehabilitation and mental health practices worldwide.
Purpose of the conference
The 10th World Disability & Rehabilitation Conference 2025 (WDRC 2025) is dedicated to advancing the theme, “Empowering People with Disabilities through Innovative Mental Health Initiatives and Inclusive Rehabilitation for Sustainable Change.” The conference seeks to bridge gaps in mental health and disability rehabilitation by fostering collaboration among global stakeholders. It aims to inspire groundbreaking approaches, promote inclusivity, and develop actionable solutions to the challenges faced by disability communities. Through shared insights and collaborative efforts, WDRC 2025 aspires to drive sustainable advancements that enhance the rights, resilience, and well-being of individuals with disabilities worldwide.
